Tony can be found front and center, drink in hand, yakking it up with anyone and everyone who wanders by. there's a huge open bar, of course - and an open food bar with about every kind of pizza imaginable, sushi, Chinese, tapas, and ... yes ... shawrma.

That, and he really wants to see what kind of cheese platter Tony Stark has to offer. It's probably made of gold. The platter, not the cheese, though that'd be a neat twist.

And yeah, maybe Wade wasn't technically invited. He doesn't really have a forwarding address, so his invitation probably just got lost in the mail. But it's all good, he ain't mad, bro. He'll just walk in with a boombox on his shoulder as he attempts to raise the roof with his free hand. And then he stops as soon as he's in the door, frowning slightly under his mask.]

...oh. No one told me you'd already have the music taken care of. But, uh, here. [He takes the CD out of the boombox and hands it over.] You might wanna give that to your DJ. It's got my favorite Spice Girls tracks, including this awesome remix that was only released on a Japanese single. Very hard to find. Total club banger, too.

[Coming from 1998, there's a lot that Nick is currently being totally blown away by. Where cell phones were brick-like and house phones even larger, the things on display here are...well, far beyond a man like him.

There's something also like wondering if this is all witchcraft behind his eyes as he leans over a thin pad with arrows pointing to place for him to touch. He's staring at it like it has two hands, how did they get something like that so little and without a screen heavily protected?

...he's got his finger hovering over it like he's afraid if he does touch it, a bomb will go off when he notices the guy across the way...an suddenly feels like he's the kid who's going to get locked in the closet while everyone goes out for ice cream and canoodling down Lover's Lane.]

[The Vice President of the Academy of Tobacco Studies wasn't a man who got invited to parties like this. A lobbyist like him just didn't get to enjoy such things unless they were thrown by a cigarette company or his own. So it's a bit jarring seeing all these people passing by or glancing at him without hatred in their eyes or full-blown brown nosing going on.

So, unnoticed, he makes his way to the open bar (God bless this Tony Stark) and orders a julep, in the process of crushing the mint down on the ice with his thumb to release the menthol, just as the Captain taught him.]

[He's not exactly uncomfortable with large groups or with being recognized - the USO shows quickly cured that - but it's not something he's comfortable with either.

Still...it feels strange to be being recognized without the red, white and blue. But he's good at dodging and avoiding people when he needs to be. Making his way through the crowd with surprising ease for someone his size, he heads for the bar. Even if he can't get drunk, maybe he can find something that tastes better than the stuff Bucky used to get them.]
