[Natasha was surprised by the doctor's appearance next to her. At his quip, she stared down at her drink before letting out a small laugh. She got it too.]

I thought you'd be back in India by now.

So did I. Unfortunately India's pizza doesn't compare to the stuff Stark gets flown in.

[He realizes he's wringing his hands a little bit and tries to nonchalantly put them down by his sides.]

[While they shared the same intelligence in all things science, Natasha was surprised that Bruce found a companion in Tony. They were more like the Odd Couple to her, but it seemed to be doing the doctor some good.]

Better than I was a few weeks ago. And how's it been being stateside after such a long time?

[Oh, he's only using Tony for his toys. Or so he thinks. Poor guy doesn't even know he's making friends.]

Unsettling but in a... good way. It's nice to not be universally persecuted.

[He looks around during the following awkward silence, rubbing his forearm before gesturing to the seat next to her.]

[Nat's mouth twisted as she realized he was right. Well, at least he was taking it well.

When he asks if he can sit next to her, she moves over to give him a bit of room.]

Oh sure. So what have you and Tony been cooking up in his lab?

[He takes a seat, one hand patting the top of his fist before his arms cross.]

Mostly the new building schematics. Making repairs opens the door to progress, I guess.
