[Kang has no idea why he got an invitation to this party, or why he'd even agreed to go to it. He doesn't even know who any of these people are.]

[whoa, it's a lizard. ... h'okay. Tony glances down at his drink and does a brief mental count - nope, hasn't had enough to be seeing lizards yet. he looks again to make sure this one doesn't look like the uglies that he just kicked out of Manhattan - nope again - then heads over. in the spirit of peace and international ... whatever]

[Kang looks amused, and moves a wing slightly to let Tony know that yes, they are real, and not part of a costume.]

It's not like the parties I'm used to, but it's enjoyable so far. Are you the host?

[He's already gotten himself a drink, though the glass it's in looks a little tiny in his hand, designed for humans.]

That's me. You must be new in town, so to speak. [he offers a hand, though belatedly, he realizes that might be a little awkward. oh well. he's committed]

[He shakes Tony's hand, scars evident all over his own.]

I am curious about why I got an invitation.

You did? Like, an actual invite? That's funny. You might've been on SHIELD's contact database, that could've cross-contaminated my contacts. It's been known to happen.

[nodding toward his hand] You tried Palmolive on that?

[governorkang]

I've never heard of SHIELD, or of these 'Avengers' everyone is talking about.

[He laughs, and glances at the scars.]

They're a few years old. A reminder of a past victory.
